Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Android Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android apps using Kotlin, with a focus on best practices and user experience.
• Executing product specifications and providing valuable insights from the Android user's perspective to inform product development.
• Ensuring Android and software best practices are utilized in the codebase, and participating in code reviews to maintain high standards.
• Collaborating with QA, Product, and Backend teams to drive success and deliver exceptional results.
• Participating in pull request meetings and general development meetings to stay aligned with the team and contribute to discussions.
• Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends in Android development.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 1+ year of professional experience in mobile development, ideally with experience in Kotlin.
• A strong understanding of Android development principles, including experience with REST API integrations and 3rd party SDKs.
• Proficiency with Git or similar source control systems.
• A desire to learn new technologies and remain on the cutting-edge of Android development.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

While not essential, the following skills and competencies are highly desirable:

• Experience with Python development, web development (HTML, CSS, Angular), and UI engineering.
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Keras, Flask, langchain, Pydantic, and other relevant technologies.
• Strong SQL database experience and knowledge of content management systems.
• AWS experience and understanding of databases and structured data.
