Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled English Language Development Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of high school students
• Provide high-quality instruction in English Language Development, using a variety of teaching methods and strategies
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and guardians
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide programs and initiatives
• Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Eligibility for employment in the US and ability to pass a criminal background check
• A California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core curriculum, or willingness to earn one
• Completed online application, resume, and cover letter
• Two current professional references, including one from a supervisor
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or commitment to weekly testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching English Language Development to high school students
• Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools
