As an Operations Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, networks, and server infrastructure.
About the Role
As an Experienced Full Stack Operations Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and server software, including Linux clusters. You'll also participate in or lead small project teams on large installations and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity. Your day will be filled with hands-on activities, such as rack installation and configuration, and you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology that's at the forefront of computer innovation.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to and lead efforts in the deployment, maintenance, and support of modern and new data center infrastructure
- Participate in or lead troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues
- Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues on servers
- Deploy and maintain Google's advanced data center server and network infrastructure
Essential Qualifications
* Experience troubleshooting hardware or community-associated troubles using Linux-based tools
- Experience in hardware, networking equipment, working systems, and data center operations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working within a data center or network operations center environment
- Experience with mild coding or scripting
- Experience with networking protocols
- Ability to collaborate and partner with people and teams to resolve issues
Skills and Competencies

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
