Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Technology Support Intern to join our team for the summer. As a Technology Support Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and infrastructure. This internship is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. You will be working closely with our team of experienced professionals to provide on-site support for hardware, software, and networking issues, and to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for hardware, software, and networking issues, including troubleshooting and resolving technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals, ensuring that all equipment is properly installed and functioning correctly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, upgrades, and equipment inspections, to ensure that our IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed, and documenting support activities, including issue resolution steps and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of user requests and incidents, and to provide excellent customer service to our clients.
  • Assist with inventory management and tracking of IT assets, ensuring that all equipment is properly accounted for and maintained.
  • Participate in deployment projects, such as equipment rollouts, migrations, and office relocations, and provide support for these projects as needed.

Education and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a final graduation date no earlier than December 2025. Familiarity with working in a corporate environment is also preferred. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts, including operating systems, network protocols, and IT security principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to provide excellent customer service to our clients and to work effectively with our team.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed, and to work in a variety of environments, including offices, data centers, and other locations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, with a strong desire to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems, including experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity best practices, including knowledge of security protocols, threat analysis, and incident response.
