As a Security Officer Government Patrol in Union Springs, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and assisting with badge and access control procedures. You will also be expected to deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and use technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily duties. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or violations of site policies.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.

• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
